These photos were taken in August on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

For those new to Michigan:

Mackinac (pronounced "MACK-in-aw", not "Mack-in-ack") Island is located in Lake Huron at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. It is unique, as it is completely car-free. Residents and tourists must travel everywhere by foot, bike, or even horse and carriage!

Charles and Katie have travelled to Mackinac Island many times throughout their relationship, the first time being just a few months after starting dating! Charles visited often as a child while spending summers Up North in Bay Harbor and made sure to share the experience with Katie. It is a very special place to them both and it made perfect sense to have their photos taken there!
